The EMERGENCIES SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY DIVISION carries out research and development
on the properties, behaviour, effects, and in-situ treatment of spilled
hazardous materials. Techniques are also developed, and applied, for
measuring contamination in air, water, and soil at spill sites and for
airborne remote sensing of spills.
